Tax

Every obligation this business has, what it will cost, and when it is due.

Federal, state and local obligations for each entity, computed from the ledger rather than estimated. Quarterly estimates, annual returns, payroll filings and sales tax all appear in one list ordered by due date.

The figures come from the books. A quarterly estimate is calculated from actual year-to-date profit, so it moves as the year moves rather than being a fixed guess made in January.

How to work this page

Confirm your registrations

Every state where you have a filing obligation, per entity. An obligation you are not registered for is still an obligation.

Read the calendar by due date

Ordered by what is due next, with the amount already computed. Nothing here requires you to work out what you owe first.

Fund the set-aside

Amounts due are reserved against cash as they accrue, so the forecast shows money you cannot spend rather than money you can.

Take the figures to the filing

This system does not file. Each obligation produces the numbers in the order the form asks for them.

On a phone

Tax on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Every figure from the desktop appears here, stacked rather than reduced. Tables scroll inside themselves so the page never moves sideways, and figures keep their separators and their alignment at every width.

Questions people actually ask

Does it handle multiple states?

Yes, per entity, with nexus tracked against each state threshold so a new obligation is flagged as you approach it rather than after you cross it.

What if my accountant files everything?

Give them a role that reads the books and the calendar. They get the figures without needing anything re-keyed.
