A recurring invoice is a template plus a schedule. It generates on its date, and whether it sends automatically or waits for a look is your choice per schedule.

The value is not the time saved. It is that a retainer never gets missed, which is the single most common quiet revenue leak in a services business.

How to work this page

Set the schedule to the agreement

Monthly on a date, or every four weeks, or quarterly. They are different and produce different annual totals.

Decide automatic or review

A fixed retainer can send itself. Anything with variable lines should generate as a draft and wait.

Set an end or a review date

A recurring invoice with no end runs forever, including past the end of the contract.

Watch the generated list

Everything produced by a schedule is visible before and after sending, so a wrong amount is caught in the batch rather than by the customer.

Every figure from the desktop appears here, stacked rather than reduced. Tables scroll inside themselves so the page never moves sideways, and figures keep their separators and their alignment at every width.

Questions people actually ask

What happens if the price changes?

Update the template. Invoices already issued keep their amounts, which is what makes the history correct.

Can it charge a card automatically?

Where the customer has authorised it, yes. The invoice still issues so there is a document behind the charge.
